Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How shall I return a parcel ?

We recomend a recorded service for peace of mind. Royal Mail 2nd class signed for is more than adequate but there are other options, some possibly cheaper.

Remember that sometimes parcels do get lost and its only with a signed for or trackable service that you have complete peace of mind and compensation from your chosen courier should that parcel go missing.

Q. How quickly will my order be dispatched?

A. Orders are dispatched in accordance with the delivery option you choose at checkout.  If you are not in a hurry for your order then choose the standard delivery option which you can expect to be shipped within no more than 10 working days and most often sooner.  If you need a speedier dispatch you have options to choose accordingly, including a 5 day dispatch option, a 3 day dispatch option and a next day delivery option.  Do check with us if you need a fast dispatch to ensure that the goods you are ordering are available for your chosen option. Items which we import from overseas suppliers e.g. Touch Ups, Dyeables, Liz Rene and Johnathan Kayne could take upto 2-3 weeks to arrive in stock, so do bear this in mind.  Made to order and handmade items, such as jewellery and tiaras can sometimes take upto 3 weeks or more, so please do allow sufficient time when ordering or contact us to check if the items are available any sooner. See Delivery Information for all our delivery options.

Q. Can I return my order?

A. Yes, we do offer a returns policy.  Please check our terms and conditions page for full details and exceptions.

Q. Do I need to register an account to place my order?

A. You don't have to register to place an order, you may checkout as a guest.  However, the process is very quick and easy and is as simple as inputting your delivery details and inputting a password.  Creating an account allows you to follow the progress of your order, view past orders, wish lists etc.  You will receive regular updates each time your order status has changed.

Q. Can I have my order shipped to a different delivery address?

A. Yes, you can have your order delivered to an alternative address.  When placing your order you must first enter the address to where the card is registered but if you don't want us to ship to this address you can enter the alternative delivery address once you have completed the billing information - just untick the box entitled "I also want to ship to this address" and you will then be given the opportunity to complete the shipping address.

Q. Do you offer a dyeing service?

A. Yes, we can offer a dyeing service on shoes and handbags.  As we do not dye all items "in-house" we can only offer this service on items purchased from us.  Brands on which we can offer a dyeing service include: Rainbow Club, Rainbow Couture, Else, Paradox Pink, all of which can be dyed to your own colour swatch.  Please refer to the "Dyeing Service" section of the website for further information or contact us if you have a specific enquiry which has not been answered here.

Q. Can I try my shoes before having them dyed?

A. Yes, you can order shoes to try for size first.  Then order the relevant "Tried First" dyeing option before posting the shoes back to us. 

Q.  Can I return a dyed shoe that has been coloured to a swatch i have provided ?

A. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for shoes that have been dyed to a customers own specification.

Q. Can I return products that are advertised as hand coloured/dyed ?

A. Any Products that are offered in a colour can be returned or exchanged, normal returns policy applies.If you are unsure about a colour we can send you a colour swatch.

Q. Are dyed shoes colourfast ?

A. Dyed shoes are not colourfast. We recomend that dyed satin shoes should be treated with a protection spray every time you wear them but products should be kept away from water with or without the protection spray as the spray does have its limitations. Always read the instructions and limitations of any protection spray product.

Q. Do you have a shop where I can see all items on display?

A. Yes, we work from our Boutique in Cumbria.  We have a good representation on display of the items we sell on our website (plus more besides), although if you are making a special trip to visit us it is adviseable to contact us in advance and let us know what you are looking for. Whilst we recognise the importance of offering the widest possible choice, we are, unfortunately, unable to hold absolutely everything in stock!  Please see "Visiting our Shop" for further information.
